Letterbox keys: copying, loss and replacement

Copying a letterbox key, or replacing the lock after losing it, is simple. Here's how, with Cléferm.

Copying a letterbox key

Most can be copied from the original (by bringing in the key) or by key number (engraved on the key or the lock, e.g. JPM, Decayeux, Renz…). The number lets you order the right key even without the original.

Lost key: replacing the letterbox lock

With no key and no number, we replace the small lock itself (the cam lock). Measure its size (barrel length) or email a photo to clf@cleferm.frand we will identify the model.

Communal letterboxes and residential buildings

For a bank of letterboxes in a building, we can standardise the locks and, if needed, integrate access management into a master key system. Not sure which type of key you have? See the different types of keys.
