Which types of key can be copied?

Our Chatou workshop makes copies of almost every key on the residential and commercial market:

  • Standard flat keys (office, outbuilding and locker keys)
  • Euro profile keys (Abus, BKS, Vachette, Iseo, JPM, Bricard, Mul-T-Lock high-security cylinders)
  • Cruciform and tubular keys
  • Pump keys (Fichet, older-generation Vachette)
  • Security keys with a key registration card (on presentation of the card)
  • Safe keys and special padlock keys
How do I order a spare key online?

Three methods:

  1. Free identification by photo: send us a clear photo of your key using the form, and an expert identifies the exact model.
  2. Code engraved on the key: if your key bears a code (usually engraved on the head), we enter it in the form.
  3. Sending us the original key: for very specific keys, you can send us the key by recorded delivery (insurance and return postage included free of charge).
How much does a spare key cost?

The price depends on the type: €5 to €10 for a standard flat key, €15 to €35 for a euro profile key, €30 to €60 for a security key with a key registration card, and up to €80 to €150 for ultra-secure keys (Mul-T-Lock MT5+, Abloy Protec2). Volume discounts available (3+ keys).

How long will it take to receive my spare key?

For a common flat or euro profile key, the lead time depends on the model: an adviser will confirm it on request before you order, and delivery is by Chronopost or DHL. Security keys covered by a key registration card are ordered from the manufacturer once the card has been checked.

Do I need a key registration card to copy a security key?

Yes. High-security cylinders (Abus Bravus, BKS Janus, Bricard Astral S2, Mul-T-Lock MT5+, etc.) come with a personal key registration card, which is required to copy the keys. Without this card, no reputable locksmith can copy the key. That is exactly what makes the system secure.
